South African culture critic Lavida NOTA has fired a shot at Roiii, faulting the latter’s comparison of Pretoria in South Africa to Atlanta in the United States.
In a tweet, Roiii, the youngest artist signed to K.O.’s Skhanda World, had noted that Pitori (the local word for Pretoria) is the South African version of Atlanta in the world of rap.
In his reply, NOTA had urged the youngster to forget about Atlanta because he’s never been there. So how would he know what it’s like in America?

Roiii might not have impressed NOTA, but the songster isn’t giving up on his dreams. In another tweet, he’d noted that he’d work hard and earn his place among the aristocracy in South African music.
Roiii is one of the newest voices in South African music. He’d snapped attention with a song titled “Lavida Loca” and has managed to retain the attention of the public since.
For his part, NOTA is easily the most controversial figure in South African music. His opinions on musicians and the culture are usually contentious. This has led to clashes with notable names like Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest.
