There are, of course, many reasons to celebrate. Heavy K has established himself as an important voice in South Africa’s music universe. Years ago, he was unknown and looking for exposure. Now, he is known all over the place, with gigs lined up across the Rainbow Nation.
He is one of those who have experimented with amapiano, thanks in part to an open call from DJ Maphorisa, considered one of the leading voices in the genre.
