Mzansi trap ace Emtee provoked raised eyebrows after he vanished just before he was scheduled to perform alongside Vth Season’s Ami Faku at the South Africa Film and Television Awards (SAFTA).
The former Ambitiouz Entertainment musician was scheduled to perform “Lala Ngoxolo,” a funeral song in which Ami Faku had featured him a while back.
The pair had reportedly rehearsed very well before making it to the award ceremony. However, just before he was called on stage to perform the song alongside Ami Faku, Emtee simply vanished, allegedly taking with him the costume the event organizers gave him.

The news of Emtee vanishing with the costume but failing to perform provoked mixed reactions online. Some fans wondered if he was okay and if there was a justifiable reason for his action.
Others made it clear he messed up big time at a point when it was obvious – to them – that he was trying to revive his career after his acrimonious exit from controversial record label Ambitiouz Entertainment.
