A New Reality show is in town, dubbed The Masked Singer SA. One of those picked as part of the judging panel is no other than Somizi Mhlongo. SOmizi? Yea, right, lol. And some South Africans are not having it. They are exasperated that he should be picked again despite South Africa having other talents that could have done well on the beat.
Before he got the current gig, Somizi had earlier snagged two others on Metro FM, and that’s apart from his current position on the judging panel of Idols SA. At the time his Metro FM gig was announced, South Africans had expressed displeasure, noting that the industry keeps recycling old faces.
In a recent post on his Instagram page, Somizi had announced the new show while also naming the others who would share the judging panel with him. They include Skhumba, Sithelo Shozi and the Mi Casa band member J’Something. You can check out his post below.
While some South Africans are miffed about him snagging another role while other talents are praying for similar jobs, Somizi’s fans have been generous with their congratulations, noting that their man deserves all the good things that come his way.
