A wave of excitement is currently sweeping across South Africa after it emerged that the country’s singer and one-time Idols SA contestant Lloyiso Gijana performed at the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham, son of England’s former skipper David Beckham.
Brooklyn, a chef, had married Nicola Peltz, an actress, at her family’s $103 million oceanfront home in Palm Beach, Florida, with several notable figures in attendance.
The Duke of Cambridge and his wife Kate Middleton were said to have been invited to the occasion but failed to show up. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were not invited, however.
But that’s by the way. Lloyiso showed up for the gig for which he was contracted and performed. So far, though, he’s shared neither pictures nor videos of his performance at the even.
With fans thronging Twitter and congratulating him on that milestone in his career, he’d promised to share pictures and videos of the event in the coming days. For now, congratulations are in order for the songster.
By the way, the performance at the wedding is but one of several wins that the songster has accomplished. Not long ago, he’d made history by being the first South African signed to Universal Music.
