The “Gqom Queen” recently gave birth, and she is somewhere in Mzansi nursing her newborn son Sponge while Kamo Mphela excites her UK audience.
Easily one of the most recognizable faces in gqom music in South Africa, Babes Wodumo has apparently slowed down with the music, having just given birth.
A Twitter user who goes by the name Affordable Cakes noted seeing Kamo Mphela’s performance in the United Kingdom makes her think about the “Gqom Queen.”
Another Twitter user, who goes by the name Zandile Excel, insisted Kamo Mphela is living the life she and other fans think Babes Wodumo should be living.
However, some Twitter users think the comparisons unnecessary and even plain dumb. One Twitter user suggested that Kamo Mphela should be praised without being compared to Babes Wodumo.
Another used noted that the “Wololo” singer had worked with Grammy award-winning singers as well as contributed to a flick that grossed over $1 billion and cannot be compared to Kamo. Check out part of the conversation below.
