After the dark clouds comes the sun. Really, that has been the case of South African singer Zahara, who was embattled on many fronts recently but has continued to rise above her afflictions, even recently clinching an award in the United States.
In a recent post on her verified Twitter account, she noted that she had won the African Entertainment Awards USA in the Best Female Artist category. She expressed gratitude for the win in the caption of the post she shared.
Her fans thronged the comments to congratulate her on the win and to wish her more wins ahead.
The recent award comes on the heels of her sharing a new picture on the same platform which showed her with a guitar and looking way fresher than her fans had seen her in recent times. It elicited positive feedback from her fans, most of whom noted that she was looking way more glamorous than she used to.
Before then, Zahara had a public fight with DJ Sbu, who allegedly failed to pay her for the release of her debut album released under a record label he owned with Nciza. Also, at some point, she was said to be broke and the taxman had declared her wanted for tax evasion.
