A while back, MZansi’s social media was abuzz when it was reported that controversial dancer Zodwa Wabantu would be having a boxing match with celebrity actress Khanyi Mbau. what followed was a clip of Zodwa Wabantu having a butt job “in preparation” for the fight with Khanyi Mbau.
In a twist to the whole narrative, Khanyi Mbau had come out to deny that there was a NY match planned with Zodwa Wanamtu. She distanced herself from the whole drama, insisting she had no fight planned with Zodwa Wabantu.
That leaves Wabantu without an opponent – but not for long. In a dramatic turn of events, actress Manaka Ranaka popped online to throw a challenge at Zodwa Wabantu, asking that they should have a boxing match since Zodwa Wabantu doesn’t have an opponent yet. She made the call in a post on Instagram, which you can check out below.

It is unclear whether she was serious about the match with Zodwa Wabantu or whether she was just being jocund. At any rate, the post amused and excited South Africans in equal measure and they poured into the comment section to share their thoughts about it all.
