She isn’t exactly showy about her wealth, so it was of great interest to many South Africans recently when singer, actress and media personality Nandi Mdida flaunted her luxury ride, a Mercedes Benz G Wagon, as well as an expensive Birkin bag.
South Africans who saw the clip she shared were impressed and hailed her. Nandi had taken to her official Instagram page, where she shared a short video of herself driving her SUV into view and then stepping out of the vehicle.
She’d thereafter dropped a few words for the general public, as well as a thanked her fans and partners. It was more like a thank you note toward the end of the year and a hope for more productive partnerships in the coming year.
But her fans were more focused on her ride and how she stepped out with not just that but a Birkin – another item of luxury rated high in fashion circles.
Anyone who has followed Nandi Madida would realise that this is a big leap, the acquisition of a G Wagon. Years ago, she had celebrated acquiring an ordinary Mercedes SUV and celebrated it with the words, “Girls with Mercs.”
Now, she got a better ride.
