Mzansi reacts as former media personality Nonhle Thema opens up about her downfall and how if saved her.
Nonhle Thema recently trended after Kenyan influencer Elsa Majimbo took to Twitter to rant about her fame, money and house in the States. Fans warned her to learn from Thema’s downfall.
In a recent interview, the former media star opened up about her fall and viral social media rant years ago. She revealed that God took away many opportunities from her to save her from herself and the entertainment industry. Thema said,
“God shut the doors for me in the entertainment industry. Things were being taken, and my first thought was, ‘Why?’ but He was actually saving me. I was able to sit still in the silence.”
“I thought everyone liked me; I didn’t know I had enemies under cover. I thought everyone wanted me to do well because it was for all of us, but then I realised I was on my own. I was fighting on Twitter because I was alone.”
Fans did not buy her comments. They accused her of failing to take responsibility for her actions. According to them, she was the cause of her fall, and she needed to own up to it.
