Mzansi reacts to Former judge Unathi’s absence from Idols SA season 18.
Early in the year, it was announced that Idols SA judge Unathi would not be returning to the show’s 18th season. Unathi had been one of the singing contest’s judges for ten years. According to reports, she and fellow judge Randall Abrahams would be replaced with new judges.
Reacting to her exit from the show, Unathi shared a message on her Instagram. It read, “To every contestant who stood in front of us, from the ones brave enough to share with us their hopes. I don’t take lightly the act of doing that for the world to see. An honor I will always hold. Thank you for trusting me as one of your judges.”
Viewers got to see what it meant to watch the show without Unathi Nkayi present. They took to Twitter to react to it. Some shared that they did not feel her and Randall’s absence because their replacements were great at the job. Others stated that Idols SA would never be the same without them.
