Mzansi DJ and producer Prince Kaybee has not been a favourite on the scene since his comments on the Rugby World Cup last year. Fans were furious that he spoke out in support of New Zealand. They accused him of not being a patriotic South African, but Kaybee maintained his stance on what he thought about the game.
After South Africa’s win over Cape Verde last week, the “Uwrongo” star took to Twitter to share his thoughts. Bafana Bafana is expected to face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the Semi-Finals. Kaybee tweeted, “Nah, Nigeria is gnna be a tough one.”
This time, Mzansi was not having it. The DJ was dragged all over Twitter as fans reminded him of the time when he turned his back on fellow South Africans and voiced his support for New Zealand.
A Twitter user wrote, “All deleted. I don’t support people who choose strangers over their own. Charity begins at home.” Another reacted to the tweet, “I wouldn’t be surprised if you are behind Nigeria o rata bo unique nyana ba marete.”
Nah, Nigeria is gnna be a tough one.
