The list of hosts for the 2023 Miss Universe beauty contest has been revealed, and South African media personality and entrepreneur Bonang Matheba is not on the list.
She was initially in the running for one of the positions. But when the list was revealed and her name not included, many South Africans were furious. according to them, she is way better than the people on the list.
The anger of South Africans over her exclusion from the list of hosts was so pronounced that the entrepreneur began trending on the country’s Twitter in no time. Last we checked, though, Bonang has not said anything about her exclusion from the list – not on Instagram anyway.
However, if she had clinched the Miss universe gig, it wouldn’t have been her first time hosting a show. Still, it would have been pretty good for herself as a person and for her brand as well.
According to the organisers of the Miss Universe contest, the hosts, who “bested” Bonang in the race, are Jeannie and Olivia Culpo. Others picked to serve on the circuit are Zuri Hall and Catriona Gray. Both will serve as backstage commentators.
Well, Bonang is still alive and still has a chance to clinch a spot. Better luck next time
