Apparently Boity has caught the amapiano fever. And oh, she isn’t afraid to let the world know she’s caught it. Amapiano is the in-thing in South Africa right now, drawing adherents from other genres and countries beyond the borders of Mzansi.
Boity is a hip hop rapper but she’s got amapiano dreams, too. This much became obvious when she shared a teaser of an amapiano song she’s working on. The teaser elicited mixed reactions from social media users.
While some donated the fire emoji, others dropped a weary emoji, while urging the “Wuz Dat” rapper to look else as she has no future in the genre. You can check out the teaser below.

By the way, Boity is but one of several South African musicians who have moved from other genres to amapiano. Other notable figures include the boy band Major League DJz and Cassper Nyovest. Interestingly, Boity had dated Cassper in the past, and yes almost all amapiano songs from Cassper Nyovest have been hits with the public.
Well, do you think Boity should ditch amapiano and focus on hip hop, like many are suggesting? You’re welcome to share your thoughts in the comment section bellow.
Fun Fact: When Boity started rapping, the encouragement wasn’t massive, either.
