It was a killing that many didn’t see coming, So when it happened, it reverberated across South Africa and beyond, with many calling for the authorities to get to the root of the matter and unmask the murderers of Senzo Meyiwa.
At this point, though, it appears like people are becoming tired of the whole trial thing and just too exhausted to continue following the case.
Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead at the home of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo. It was reported that she was there along with her mother, sister and others when the tragedy took place.
Understandably, many see everyone present during the incident as persons of interest in the case. But more focus appears to be on Kelly Khumalo because she was Senzo Meyiwa’s girlfriend at the time.
The murder trial has been on and off for years no. The sporadic postponements and resumptions have already annoyed many South Africans, such that when the trial resumed again, many were seriously annoyed with the authorities.
They claimed that the authorities are testing their patience with a case that they could easily have resolved and concluded a long time ago if they wanted to. Five men are currently standing trial for Senzo’s murder.
