Mzansi Wistful As TikTok Video Of Late Riky Rick & Uncle Waffles Dancing Resurfaces

It was another moment of remembrance for South Africans recently, as an old clip of Uncle Waffles and the late Riky Rick doing an amapiano challenge surfaced online.

It was a moment of sadness and recollection for some tweeps. Riky Rick stood out as one of the notable rap voices in South Africa’s music space until his sudden death. The songster had hanged himself in his studio in February 2022.

Only after his death was it discovered that he was suffering from depression and had given clues about it all in posts on social media. But no one recognised he was down at the time, sadly.

Ever since his death, South Africans have been remembering him the way they see feet. The recent appearance of the clip of him and Uncle Waffles dancing deeply moved many of those who saw it. They were like, thou shouldst be living at this hour, Riky! Watch it below.

Sadly, the songster is gone and would no longer be dropping the hard-hitting bars and organising Cotton Fest, a hip hop festival he founded years ago. Such is life.

By the way, the songster left a wife and several children at the time of his death.
