The year 2023 is pretty close to ending, with a little over 2 weeks left. Already, though, stocks have been taken and people have either gotten their “medals” for that accomplished in the year in question or are close to getting them.
South African rapper Nadia Nakai was – really is – one of those who accomplished a lot this year and has since been given her tripes as one of the top 10 hitmakers of 2023 on TikTok.
Of course, 2023 was a pretty mixed year for the singer, who lost her boyfriend AKA in the second week of the second month of the year. AKA was assassinated just outside Wish Restaurant soon after he stepped out of the place in the company of his friend and associates.
It was a devastating blow that temporarily shattered her world. But she was able to rise from her ashes, able to entertain the Rainbow Nation enough to snag a spot among TikTok’s top 10 hitmakers of 2023 – a win that AKA himself would have been proud of were he alive.
