Nandi Madida has spoken about making new music with DJ Kent and opening doors for new acts without feeling threatened.
Nandi Madida is a queen, and she knows it. The “Black Is King” star is the new host of Africa Now Radio on Apple Music, and she believes it aligns with her brand. The star told TimesLIVE, “I like working with the universe. I don’t like forcing things. When you force things, you gonna get a certain energy, and I’m very big on that.”
She also opened up about making way for others to rise without feeling threatened. She said, “Evolution is always key … It’s important to open the doors for the next group without feeling threatened. People always forget when it’s their turn now to open the doors because we’ve had a long run. It is so important to be gracious about opening doors and ensuring that they also get to enjoy the limelight. Evolution is necessary and understanding where you stand in the industry. So a show like this (Apple Music) allows me to do that.”
