Nasty C And Lavida Nota In Ugly Spat Over Zulu Rap

A Twitter spat broke out a day ago between Mzansi’s Nasty C and the Lavida Nota. Nasty C released “Zulu Man,” the 5th single from his imminent “Zulu Man With Some Power” album. In that song, he rapped in Zulu.

Many South African’s praised the song, including some oldies like Gemini Major and Cassper Nyovest. Many hailed him for rapping in Zulu after many years of spitting English bars.

Well, not everyone was impressed by the songster’s “Zulu Man” effort. Fellow musician La Vida took to Twitter and congratulated himself in having got the hip hop champ to rap in Zulu finally. He also criticized Nasty C for being in a hurry and not taking the old guard (older musicians with more Zulu musical mastery along).

He said Nasty C should master Zulu rap first before coming out to drop anything, indirectly implying that “Zulu Man” the song was of inferior quality

Nasty C laughed at Lavida Nota, accusing him exaggerating his (Nota’s) importance in the universe of South African music. He even accused Nota of being bitter. You can check out screenshots of the twar below.
