Nasty C, Emtee, Lady Zamar, Moozlie, Nadia Nakai & Sho Madjozi To Battle For “Most Influential Young South Africans”

Avance Media, an organization that has come up with an initiative to celebrate and rank young South Africans who are doing very well within their sectors of operation has recently put out the nomination for the “Most Influential Young South Africans,” and on this year’s list of nomination in Entertainment category are Nasty C, Emtee, Lady Zamar, Moozlie, Nadia Nakai, Sho Madjozi, Bontle Modiselle, Sihle Ndaba and Thuso Mbedu.

Nominated are actors/actresses and musician, mostly hip-hop artists with Lazy Zamar being the only nominated artist who isn’t a hip-hop artist. It is no surprise that these celebrities make the nomination list as they have had a very good 2019 by releasing well received albums and songs, selling out shows, acting in high rated TV series and movies, they also championed and participated in major social media campaigns that has shaped the South African social space.

Last year nomination featured Gemini Major and DJ Maphorisa in lifestyle category while Kwesta, AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Shekhinah and more featured in Entertainment category. This year is the first time Emtee and Lady Zamar are nominated.

The Most Influential Young South Africans project is a yearly honor and rating program for young influential South African go-getters between the age of 15-40 years, organized by Avance Media, a social organization in collaboration with 1000 African Voices & VIPI State and several other corporations.

The project is aimed at revealing the authentic and sincere capabilities of young citizens who are taking their crafts serious enough to transform the riches of South Africa’s economy and whose creations in balance with their influences. It is also meant to be a form of inspiration and backing for these young people whose dedication in the direction of stimulating progress and development is unquestionable.
