The “Zulu Man With Some Power” Nasty C will be perfuming at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) for which he has been nominated alongside several other artistes.
The MAMAs made this known in a recent Instagram post which urged fans to be part of the upcoming event. It’s a virtual event which fans can stream live from their homes. Nasty C, who had a superlative year 2020, is reportedly the only South African artiste performing for the night.
Other artiste slated to perform on the MAMAs are Uganda’s Sheebah Karungi, Nigeria’s Wizkid, Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones, Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, Ivorian’s Suspect 95, Calema of Sao Tome and Principe.
Nasty C has been nominated in the Best Hip Hop category. Will his outstanding performance last year ultimately fetch him the award for which he has been nominated? Well, we can’t tell. But then he’s got South Africa rooting for him.
The MAMAs will be broadcast live on 20 February 2021 on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and MTV Africa (DStv Channel 130).
