Nasty C’s “I Love It Here” Album Up For Grammy Nomination

For fans of South African rapper Nasty C, there’s a piece of good news. The rapper’s most recent album, “I Love It Here,” is being considered for this year’s Grammy awards.

Def Jam Africa, the record label to which the rapper is signed, blew the lid on this milestone in Nasty C’s life, letting the world know in an Instagram post that his most recent album has been submitted for consideration in what many consider one of the world’s most prestigious music awards.

Nasty C has released several albums before the latest which was submitted for the Grammy. But he’s made it clear in an interview that his latest is his best album so far, while also describing “Zulu Man With Some Power” as his worst album to date.

Anyway. The news of his nomination has been greeted with approbatory scream back home, as evident in the responses to the post by Def Jam. You can check out the post below.

Of course, it is one thing to be nominated for the album and a different ball game to win it. It will be interesting to see if the songster will ultimately go home with the award when winners are announced next year.
