The body of the late Anele “Nellie” Tembe has arrived Durban from Cape Town. The model had fallen to her death from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in central Cape Town, according to reports.
Her body was said to have been accompanied to Durban for a memorial service by her fiancé AKA, via the King Shaka International Airport.
AKA and close family members will reportedly be present at her memorial today Thursday 15 April. Previously commenting on her tragic passing, AKA’s father Tony Forbes has described Nellie Tembe as confident and respectful.
Others who knew her well, including her sister Nondumiso, have shared fond memories of Nellie. In a recent tweet, Nondumiso had called Nellie her baby, stating that she’ll be forever missed by those who knew her well.
On what exactly happened to Nellie Tembe, reports have been mixed. While some hold that she jumped in a fit of suicidal ideation, having suffered from depression for some time, others hold that she just fell.
