South African musician and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle has been called out for the high price of one of her handbags, which her critics pointed out was similar to the price tag on a bag at Shein.
The logic is that since the product is from a local entrepreneur, the price should be way lower than what people get to pay for brands that aren’t local.
The whole drama started after DJ Zinhle shared a picture of her Era handbag on X, admiring it with the words “Oh baby.” Several tweeps jumped on the tweet and started sharing their thoughts on it.
One X user shared an identical bag without the Era brand insignia and wondered out loud if the singer buys it from Shein and then rebrands it to sell to the public.
Another simply dismissed the high price tag associated with the Era handbag, pointing out that the same can be gotten elsewhere for less, with the only difference being the brand tag associated with the Era brand. You can check out the post below.
Wait so they buy them from Shein and put their logo ? Or they are copying the design?

At the time of writing, DJ Zinhle had not said anything about the criticisms of the price tag of her Era handbag. Will she?
