New Milestone: Kanye West’s “Donda” Album Smashes Over 1 Billion Plus Streams On Spotify

American rapper Kanye West has reached another milestone as it has just been announced that his latest album, “Donda,” has surpassed one billion views on streaming platform Spotify. It’s more than a testament to his appeal that he should have such figures.

Named for his mother who had died from complications resulting from a breast reduction surgery, “Donda,” as the American rapper would have the world believe, was released without his permission by Universal Music.

Kanye West, who recently got the permission of an American court to have his name changed to “Ye,” had wanted to release the album on the same day his rival Drake had announced the release of “Certified Lover Boy.”

Well, it never happened according to that plan. All the same, the album trended as soon as it was released, snapping streaming records in no time. A while later, it had reached the 1 billion-plus streaming mark – no small achievement for any artist anywhere in the world.

By the way, the song recently had a haircut that left his hair in patches on his head. This provoked discussions as well as concern from fans around the world, with some wondering if he’s suffering from alopecia.
