The revelations continue in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial as South Africans watch with keen interest to see the outcome of the case which has dragged on for years.
Senzo Meyiwa, a goalie with the South African national team Bafana Bafana, was shot dead t the home of his then-girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, in what was assumed to be a robbery gone wrong. However, not everyone is buying the robbery claim. So it is left to the court to determine what went down.
After several deferments, the court resumed sitting days ago to continue the trial. On the first day, disbarred advocate Malesela Teffo, who had previously defended four of the accused, caused a disturbance when he showed up in court unexpectedly, asking to see the judge privately.
In the recent convergence at court, Meyiwa’s friend Mthokozisi Thwala had taken the witness box, where he claimed that Senzo was still alive and responsive at the time he was shot until he got to the hospital, where he eventually gave up the ghost.
Everyone was allegedly speaking to Senzo at the time as he was being transported, according to Mthokozisi Thwala, to remember his children. He, unfortunately, died at the hospital,
