New Study Suggests Bruce Lee Died From Excessive Water Consumption

It’s been decades since Bruce Lee’s death, and a new finding has shown that he died of too much water consumption and not the cerebral edema that had been stated at his death in 1973.

At the time, several theories were propounded as to the cause of the “Enter the Dragon” actor’s death, including that he might have been assassinated by Chinese gangsters.

While those speculations prevailed at the time, a team of researchers has suggested that the cerebral edema that killed the actor might have been caused by hyponatraemia. This condition describes an excessive amount of water in the body, which dilutes the amount of sodium in the blood and causes levels to be low.

Among the symptoms of this condition are headache, nausea, confusion, and fatigue.

Writing in the Clinical Kidney Journal, the team of researchers proposed that “the kidney’s inability to excrete excess water killed Bruce Lee.”

The team’s suggestion was based on several facts, including revelations by his wife Linda that he’s been on a fluid-based diet.

Bruce Lee might have died young, but he was already a legend in the world of martial arts at the time of his death. To this day, many people use him as the ideal symbol for the art.
