South African media personality Ngizwe Mchunu is reportedly facing serious financial challenges amid his ongoing court trial.
The former Ukhozi FM presenter is charged with inciting public unrest during the July 2021 protest. He has been fighting it out in court since, with no respite in sight yet.
Instead, and as he readily admitted, the court case has been draining him financially. Now, his resources have been so depleted that he could do with the magnanimity of the public. But it doesn’t appear like that is coming yet.
The 2021 protest was exactly two years ago, but the memories are still fresh with its chaos and destruction. Out of the dust of that moment in history, one man is staring at the fans of the law, which might consume him if he is found guilty of inciting the mob.
Already, he is feeling the heat, having had to spend so much to defend himself and yet the case lingers, leaving him with the secret of more expenses in not financial ruin.
Well, it remains to be seen how he would navigate the current crisis and if he would eventually bounce Back. South Africans surely have their eyes on him. We will be here to bring you new developments.
