Nhlanhla ‘Lux’ Dlamini Has Been Granted R1,500 Bail

“Operation Dudula” leader, Nhlanhla ‘Lux’ Dlamini has been granted bail on R1,500 and ordered to surrender his passport.

Here’s an update on Nhlanhla Lux’s arrest that has gotten everyone on social media talking. The “Operation Dudula” leader was recently arrested and charged with a case of housebreaking and malicious damage to property in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court.

According to recent reports, he has finally been granted bail of R1,500 and has also been ordered to surrender his passport. The judge presiding over the case, Magistrate Ruby Mathys not only ordered his passport to be surrended, but also ordered that he refrain from contacting the complainant in the case.

While Mzansi has known him as Nhlanhla “Lux” Dlamini, the court papers have revealed that his surname is indeed “Mohlaoli”. Speaking about the case, Dlamini’s lawyer, advocate Ike Khumalo called the charges against him “frivolous”.

He said “We are happy that he has been released. He was not supposed to be arrested. He is always accompanied by the police wherever he is conducting his duties. How do you accuse him of even trespassing when he is always in the company of the police?” He believes Dlamini would have been arrested on the spot if the charges were real.
