- Proof of payment
A court ruling and a letter of approval from the State Ministry of Women and Child Development are needed if the child is adopted.
Documents Needed for International Passport in Nigeria

Renewal Requirements
Pick the closest passport office when submitting your initial application for a new Nigerian passport (which is done online). The following criteria must be met to renew a passport, regardless of whether it has already expired or is about to do so:
- Application letter.
- Passport booklet.
- Photocopy of the data page of your passport.
- Acknowledgment slip and proof of payment.
For unexpired passports
You must justify your renewal application if your passport has a validity period longer than six months.

After collecting your biometric data, it typically takes 72 hours to process an application for a Nigerian passport renewal.
