No-Show: Groove Boss Set To Take Legal Action Against Babes Wodumo

Will there ever be an end to the no-show controversies surrounding local singer Babes Wodumo? We may never know. The point is that the songstress is currently embroiled in a new controversy over the same issue.

A club called Endaweni Shisanyama, located in the KwaZulu-Natal area of South Africa, is currently threatening legal action against her for non-performance after collecting booking fees.

The “Wololo” hitmaker was booked to perform on January 17 but failed to show up, angering the club boss who threatened to sue her to recover his money.

Interestingly, Babes Wodumo acknowledged the booking but blamed her manager for the whole confusion, pointing out that she had another gig on the same day and was also shooting a scene for her reality show. So she couldn’t show up.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that the singer has been called out for being a no-show. It has happened multiple times in the past. Also, she isn’t the only South African musician who has been called out for not showing up after collecting booking fees. A couple of other musicians have been called out as well.

It remains to be seen where the current case will lead to. Stay tuned.
