Nomfundo Moh Receives Platinum Plaque At Her UKZN Graduation

Mzansi singer, Nomfundo Moh received a platinum plaque at her graduation ceremony from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) on Saturday.

Imagine recording two major milestones in one day. That was the case for singer and songwriter, Nomfundo Ngcobo popularly called Nomfundo Moh. She bagged a Bachelor of Social Work degree and took home a platinum plaque for her hit song “Phakade Lami”.

Her hit song, “Soft Life” was played as she walked across the stage and danced to collect her degree. It was even more beautiful seeing the audience singing along to the song. Her team had also arranged to present her with a platinum plaque for her hit song “Phakade Lami”.

The song recorded 9.5 million views on YouTube and 3 million streams on Spotify. Nomfundo has also been featured as Apple Music’s Africa Rising emerging artist. She received the plaque and said “The song Phakade Lami went gold two months ago. I wasn’t expecting to go double platinum already. I am so happy,”
