Nota On Writing Hooks for Kwesta

Controversial culture critic has detailed that he wrote some hooks for his one-time pal Kwesta when both of them worked together at RapLyf.

Speaking on the set of the New Kid in the Vlog, the music executive detailed the contributions he made to several careers in South African hip hop, as well as his place in the industry.

Nota, who’s also a producer, noted that he wrote the hook for “Ngiyazifela Ngawe,” Kwesta collaborative single with Thabsie. He also claimed to have written the hook for another popular song, “Boom Shakalaka,”  which featured Kid X.

Kwesta hasn’t disputed Nota’s claim that he wrote hooks for him. The two seldom agree on anything these days following their public falling out. Among others, Nota had claimed that Kwesta embezzled fund belong to their record label. He also claimed that the “Ngud” star was owing several other musicians.

Nota, who is known for always speaking his mind, had a little Twitter crisis when his account on the platform was suspended. But he opened another in April because, according to him, he needed the platform to defend himself should Kwesta try to hit at him on the platform.
