He’s had several battles with the police already. But it appears like the battles are not over yet for NOTA Baloyi. The controversial music executive has narrated another fiery encounter with the cops.
In a recent tweet, the songster had shared footage of the SAPS assaulting him while he was recording. In the caption to the footage, he wearily recalled a precious encounter with the police, nothing that he would not bother opening an assault case against them.
He referenced the past when the celebrated international disc jockey and producer Black Coffee had allegedly sent police to harass him, and nothing was done about it despite his opening a case about the incident.
Deciding not to report the current assault is one issue South Africans are unable to wrap their heads around. Some encouraged him to go ahead and report the case. Others would not be bothered about it.
Had a run in with @SAPoliceService last night & I won’t waste my time openning a common assault case against them when I already have an Assault with intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm against the cops Black Coffee sent to rough me up… 45-years since Steve Biko’s assassination!✊🏿 pic.twitter.com/JAGPGhmYGx

NOTA’s abrasive and controversial personality has seen him at odds with several key figures in South African music, from Cassper Nyovest to Kwesta, from AKA to Nasty C and Zoocci Coke Dope. And it doesn’t appear like the battles will be over anytime soon.
Anyway, stay tuned for more, y’all.
