Ntsiki Mazwai Rails At South Africa’s Justice System After The Reporter Karyn Maughan Beats Jacob Zuma In Court

Controversial poet and anti-GBV advocate Ntsiki Mazwai has shared her thoughts about the News 24 journalist Karyn Maughan’s victory over former president Jacob Zuma.

According to her, if the journalist, who is white, had won her case, then she, Ms Mawzwai, should have won her own case as well since both cases are similar. She denounced the South African justice system as being a slave to the white.

While she is adamant that her case was the same and she should have gotten a similar outcome, some tweeps were adamant she was wrong about the comparison, and they tackled her over it.

Right from when the case between the former president and Karyn made it to the public space, the controversial poet and anti-GBV advocate was not a supporter of the journalist. She had insisted in a tweet back then that Karyn was wrong. This much is evident below.

For whatever reason, the courts think otherwise and that infirmed their ruling that gave the journalist victory in the case against the former president. And Ntsiki Mazwai is miffed for not having had a similar result.

Well, in law, there is rarely a uniformity of outcome in cases supposedly similar. A lot comes into play.
