Popular poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai has stirred up controversy around Anele Tembe’s death in 2021 and AKA’s murder in 2023.
No doubt, everyone has something to say about Anele Tembe’s untimely death after she allegedly fell from a balcony at a hotel she was staying at with her then-boyfriend, AKA. The police ruled her death a suicide, but there were reports that she and her boyfriend at the time, AKA, had been having altercations that led to her death.
AKA was murdered in Durban alongside his best friend Tibz in February 2023, and many people believe it has so much to do with Anele’s death. According to reports, Police have recently made headway in their investigations into the murder.
Taking to the X app, Ntsiki Mazwai shared a tweet, stirring up controversy about Anele’s death and hinting that AKA and his best friend Tibz may have deserved their murder. She wrote,
” ‘You don’t know what he’s been doing to me.’ We will always remember you, Anele Tembe … May your family find peace and forgiveness.”
Ntsiki Mazwai also responded about their deaths, writing, “Two people accused of GBV.”
Sinazo_Sinn stated that the deaths of AKA and Tibz were justified in his own opinion. “We all know exactly what happened. Whatever her family did after death, it was justified, in my opinion.”
