It was a bittersweet moment of sorts for actor Ryan Gosling who got an Oscars nod while those with whom he worked on “Barbie” were snubbed.
It is that time of the year again when the list of nominees for the Academy Awards is released. Ryan Gosling is fortunate to have his name right there among the nominees.
Specifically, he was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in “Barbie” (as the character Ken). However, some of those with whom he worked on the flick, including Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig, were snubbed.
Margot Robbie was ignored in the Best Actress category and Greta Gerwig was snubbed in the Director category. Both, of course, made great contributions to the film Ryan was nominated in.
For Ryan Gosling, it felt good to have been nominated for the award but it also felt bad that Margot and Greta were snubbed. In his own words, he is “extremely honoured” to have been nominated alongside others.
Anyway, it is one thing to be nominated and a different ball game to win. But a nomination is like having a foot through the door – a first step. Congratulations are in order for Ryan Gosling.
