Oscars Slap Drama: Jada Shares Deepest Wish About Chris Rock & Will Smith
In a move that pleased many and surprised others not at all, Jada Pinkett-Smith has expressed the hope that her husband Will Smith and comedian Chris Rock will somehow reconcile and heal after the altercation at the Academy Awards this year.
The crisis between the two erupted after Chris Rock made a joke about Jada’s alopecia, comparing her to the character G.I Jane. A furious Will Smith had stormed the stage and smacked the comedian in the face. Back to his seat in the audience, he’d warned the comedian to take his f**king mouth out of his wife’s affairs.
The encounter reverberated across the world back then, spewing a couple of memes in its wake. The Oscars had banned Will Smith for ten years for his actions, prohibiting him from attending its events both virtually and in person.
Will Smith had apologised for his actions, but according to apologise personally to the comedian.
With the dust of the altercation now somewhat settled, Jada is hoping for amity and reconciliation. She expressed that much in the latest episode of her Red Table Talk yesterday, June 1.
Her deepest hope is to see Will and Chris “heal, talk this out and reconcile.”
