Over 17 Killed On KwaZulu-Natal & Limpopo Roads In One Day

It’s just a little over a week to the end of the year, and for many, the prayer is to live beyond the year and embrace the promise of 2023. But then, as it has often been said, fate usually has other ideas.

South Africa’sprovinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo appear to be contending with some grisly records, as multiple reports indicate that at least 17 people have perished on the road in both areas

On Sunday, there was a massive crash on the N3 near Bergville, claiming the lives of seven people. While the Rainbow Nation was still reeling from the violent loss of lives on the road, another equally fatal incident struck Mzansi.

There was a collision N2 near the M37 in Amanzimtoti, Durban, that claimed the lives of five people, including a child.

EMS paramedics spokesperson for KwaZulu-Natal Robert McKenzie confirmed the incident while delving into some detail about it. according to, the crash involves a light vehicle and an SUV. He also noted that the exact circumstances of the crash are unknown but that the authorities will investigate.

Commuters are advised to be careful on the road this festive season and stick to traffic regulations to avoid accidents this festive season.
