Parole Denied, Bobby Shmurda Will Remain In Prison Until 2021

Bobby Shmurda has been denied parole and will remain in prison until 2021.

The new information on Bobby Shmurda’s recent parole hearing is particularly not what his fans were looking forward to hearing. Fans were optimistic when news broke that the rapper could be released on parole but that isn’t happening.

According to a report by Billboard, the “Hot N***a” rapper was denied parole. His parole hearing was originally set for mid August but was later pushed back. The music magazine reports that his interview with the Board of Parole on September 15 was not a success. “he was denied release and given a hold until the maximum expiration of his sentence on December 11, 2021” Billboard.

The rapper has been serving time behind bars since December, 2014 after being charged with conspiracy to murder, weapons possession and reckless endangerment. After accepting a deal to plead guilty to 4th-degree conspiracy and 2nd-degree criminal weapons charges, he was sentenced to 7 years in prison.

Shmurda has been looking forward to his release this year since 2018. At the time, he dialed in on This Is 50 and spoke about being released on 2020. He is quoted saying

When I get out, we’re going to f— everything up. I got two years, 2020. You know how that sh– goes. I like to see real n—as doing their thing with more constructive sh–. I hope a lot of motherf—ers learn from me.”
