British actress Helen McCroy is dead. She was 52.
According to her husband Damian Lewis, whom she married in 2007, Helen died suddenly. Reliving the times he shared with her, Damian had described Helen as the meteor in the family’s life.
Also, about Helen, Lewis said she was incomparable in how consciously she spread happiness to those around her.
The news of Helen’s death in London on 16 April sent shockwaves across the film world. Across social media, her fans have been mourning her and speaking of their favourite roles she played.
Prior to her death, Helen McCroy had featured on several films. Among her standout appearances are as Clair Dowar in the James bond film Skyfall, as Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter series and as Aunt Polly, a matriarch in the BBC drama Peaky Blinders.
Helen and |Damian had two children at the time of her death. She was ill when she died suddenly. Lewis had described her as “utterly heroic” in her illness. She’ll be sorely missed for a vibrant personality and for the live she brought to her roles as an actress.
