Pearl Modiadie Slams R3.5m Lawsuit on SABC, Former Station Manager

Media personality Pearl Modiadie has slammed her former employer the SABC with a R3.5 sexual harassment suit for failing to take action when she reported her former station manager Anthony Soglo for sexually harassing her.

According to reports, while Pearl Modiadie was employed by the station, she had lodged complaints against the Soglo but the station failed to act on them.

The station confirmed receiving notice of the law suit while adding that it intends to defend itself against the suit the former employer filed.

The suit has led to interesting conversations on social on the prevalence of sexual harassment in the industry. Some Twitter users wondered why she only sued the company after her contract with the station expired and wasn’t renewed.

There were those who urged her on, however, insisting she should teach the former station manager a lesson.
