Police Dismiss Reports Weapon Used In AKA Assassination Has Been Found

The South African police have rubbished claims that the body has found the gun used in the assassination of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, who fell to murderers bullets on February 10.

Since the day of that tragic shooting, which also claimed the life of the rapper’s former manager, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, South Africans have been curious and looking for leads that would resolve the case.

Exasperated with the slow pace of the case at some point, the late rapper’s fans, collectively called the Megacy, had started trending the hashtag #JusticefoAKA to ensure that the case is not swept under the carpet as has happened with a few other people.

Yesterday, Tuesday, rumours started flying that the murder weapon was found in Umlzi. Reacting to the rumours, however, the police made it clear that no such weapon was found. In a statement released soon after, the police implored the public to stop peddling unfounded claims.

By the way, AKA’s found recently expressed faith that the person who pulled the trigger and killed her son at point-blank range might be found but that the person who paid for the hit might never be exposed.
AKA was gearing up to release an album when he was killed just outside Wish Restaurant.
