Pop Smoke's record label, Republic Records, has released a statement concerning his tragic death.

Bashar Barakah Jackson, famously known by the stage name Pop Smoke, has been reported death after suffering from several gunshot wounds. The incident occurred when the late rapper was at a house in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

It was reported that some armed men, who were dressed in hoodies and masks, barged into Pop Smoke’s house and fired multiple shots at him. Pop Smoke was confirmed death on Wednesday.

Following the tragic passing of the fast-rising American rapper, the label home of the rapper has released a statement.

Republic Records has acknowledged the death of Pop Smoke on Twitter, hours after news of his demise surfaced.

Republic Records wrote about the Brooklyn rapper.

We are devastated by the unexpected and tragic loss of @POPSMOKE10. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans, as we mourn this loss together.

Reports have it that the Brooklyn rapper was murdered early Wednesday morning in a home in the Hollywood Hill section of Los Angeles. The murder occurred during a home invasion robbery.

Law enforcement reports that the attack was carried out by two to six people and one of the men had his face concealed with a ski mask.

Pop Smoke was pronounced dead after he was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The house Pop Smoke was is reportedly registered to Teddi Mellencamp, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and her husband.

The twenty-year-old rapper might have been using the couple’s house as an Airbnb. The police are yet to confirm that part of the case.

The witnesses and neighbours are in the process of being interviewed by the authorities, to find out more information about the attack.

Several hip hop artists from across the world have paid homage to Pop Smoke such as Uncle Murda, Nicki Minaj, Fat Joe, 50 Cent and others have paid tribute over the painful demise of the ‘Drive the Boat’ MC.
