Postponed: Case Of Man With Hands Cut Off For Stealing From Church

Forgiveness and compassion are part of the injunctions from the Bible, but it appears like not everyone – including a pastor, LOL – is interested in following these injunctions.

As we write, there’s an ongoing case of great interest to many South Africans – that of a man whose hands were reportedly cut off for stealing from a church. It’s the sort of story that appears like something from a book of fiction, Only, it isn’t.

The victim, called Mahlangu, was accused of stealing from the pastor’s church and ended up losing his arms in the whole drama.

The unnamed pastor stands accused alongside his son and wife. However, while the wife is out on a warning, the pastor and his son are out on R5k bail each.

Hearing on the case has been postponed, reportedly on th request of the prosecutor to make room for further investigations, as well as DNA analysis. This would strengthen the prosecutor’s case against the pastor, his wife and his son who stand accused of kidnapping and the attempted murder of 29-year-old Dumisani Mahlangu.

Well, it will be interesting to see where the case leads from here. We are following events and might bring you more details, so tag along.
