Prince Kaybee Fights Off Trolls Who Criticized ‘Music Theory’
Afro House DJ and producer Prince Kaybee fought off trolls criticizing his latest album “Music Theory.” He claims he does not make music for survival.
Prince Kaybee remains one of the biggest DJs in South Africa, but lately, he’s losing his rep. The “Fetch Your Life” was once an awards magnet and used to deliver chart-topping albums and singles.
However, lately, he’s been struggling to drop proper hits. After blaming his former label for most of his troubles, Kaybee was freed from his contract. He recently dropped an album he was “nervous” about, and fans did not feel it like they did his previous ones.
Some took to Twitter to advise the DJ to switch to Amapiano to make a living, but he didn’t budge. A tweep claimed he should spend more time in the studio to make music that would amass streams, but Kaybee said spending too much time in the studio doesn’t guarantee that. Read the tweets below.
I don’t do music for survival, and when you stopped listening I lost nothing.❤️ https://t.co/AQN0mVnnl4

You are wrong about a lot…
1. Spending months perfecting an album doesn’t guarantee commercial success, My most successful album took me 3 weeks to compile and we are over 100 Million streams with it…, 2. I do expect something in return but not money, impact❤️ https://t.co/tFJUFzHQ4F
