Presidency Denies Minister Fikile Mbalula Was Kicked Out Of Cabinet Meeting

’s transport minister Fikile Mbalula was reportedly asked to leave a cabinet meeting by allegedly because he was unprepared to read his meeting memos.

The claim led to merriment and jokes at the minister’s expense, with some of his critics claiming it was the prelude to his sacking by the president.

The presidency, however, denied the claims that the minister was asked to leave the cabinet meeting because he was unprepared.

Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele dismissed the claims as mischievous and unfounded. He further noted that members of the cabinet are accountable collectively to the Parliament for exercising their powers.

Amid claims that the minister wasn’t asked to leave the meeting, some South Africans are sceptical and would rather believe what the Sunday World reported.

Fikile Mbabula is one of ’s most controversial ministers. He’s often criticised for the lousy state of South African roads, and at different times, his critics have called for his sack.

The minister hasn’t said anything about his alleged sack yet, and it’s doubtful he would. Speaking on the subject will most likely raise more questions. Stay tuned.
