Media personality, Rae Gopane posts up a public apology to Bonang Matheba after accusing her of introducing AKA to hard drugs.
We would all agree that it has been a week of drama in Mzansi. Each new day, there is something new in the news. Somehow, Bonang Matheba has been at the centre of it all. However, the beautiful celeb has not said a word. She’d just rather take action. Now, that’s a boss right there.
Not too long ago, podcast host, Rae Gopane made the news after he alleged that Mzansi rapper, AKA was on hard drugs. According to him, media star, Scoop Makhathini told him and his fellow host that the “Energy” hit maker was introduced to cocaine by his ex, Bonang Matheba.
Mzansi was alarmed by the news, but no one knew what to make of it. Now, Rae has tendered a public apology to Matheba who we hear threatened a lawsuit on him. Apparently, the young podcast host isn’t ready to take on all that. In the apology, he stated his regret of any inconveniences caused Bonang, and promised that it wont happen again.
My name is Rea Gopane, a 22 year old Podcaster on the Rea and BlackSteph Podcast which is a 2 month old podcast that broadcasts on Everything SA Music.
As stated in my letter of undertaking, I would like to express my sincere apology for everything I said on our podcast dated (9 May 2021). I would like to unequivocally retract my statements and apologize to all the parties concerned namely Ms Bonang Matheba, Mr Kiernan Forbes and Mr Siyabonga Ngwekazi. I know and understand that the podcast could cause harm, and I am deeply regretful for my mistake. I have learned from my mistake and will do better moving forward.
The podcast has been taken down on all platforms and I promise that it won’t happen again. Once again, I really am truly sorry.
Hopefully, B accepts his apology and lets him off with a warning.
