SA Hip Hop star Emtee has hinted at a Matatiele Homecoming Festival.
All Emtee fans want is to see him on stage performing his hits. The star is also in the process of finalizing the recording of his “DIY 3” album. It is expected to drop later next year, although work began on it this year.
While on a recent Instagram Live session, featured on the Daily TV Plug YouTube channel, the Hustler opened up about the possibility of hosting a Homecoming show in his hometown of Matatiele in the Eastern Cape. Replying to a fan, he said,
“Come to Matatiele, yes. I’m planning to come and I want to have a homecoming-type festival,” Emtee said. “Im coming to Matatiele, in the city, in the town or we going to do close the streets because you know Matatiele after eight everyone is indoors. So when the sun goes down, we close the streets and have a min festival,”
He also stated that it was only an idea and not a plan yet.
“That’s just an idea for now, but uh, it’s something I’m willing to do.”
Not too long ago, the “Waves” star hosted the Emtee And Friends Concert, which took place in Zone 6 venue, and it was a success.
