SA approves as Rasta paints a portrait of the late Leleti Khumalo.
Famous painter Rasta has been getting a lot of praise for his work. He is often spotted at the funerals of some of the famous people in the country where he honours their legacy with a beautiful painting. Some times, Mzansi does not agree that the paintings resemble the people they’re for.
Yesterday, Rasta was at the funeral of the late boxing legend Dingaan Thobela, also known as the Rose of Soweto. He painted a portrait of the late legend while the funeral happened but Mzansi did not think it looked like him.
The famous painter has now earned praise from fans after posting the portrait of the “Sarafina!” actress Leleti Khumalo on his Instagram page. He wrote,
“Painting Dr Leleti Khumalo, Esther Mahlangu a milestone achieved at Pietermarizburg Botanical Gardens KZN exhibition Art in da park alongside Wise Mncube.”
Mzansi was impressed by the beautiful painting and agreed that it looked like the singer. The portrait was reposted by MDN News with the caption,
“Rasta honour legendary actress Leleti Khumalo with a portrait.”
Reacting, @MabazoleZongozi wrote, “Finally he shows a little respect I’ve always known he is a good artist qha uyageza lomfana…usile.”
